Abstract:

Abstract: Dr. Adam Riegel, the director of the medical physics graduate program at Hofstra University, will discuss the captivating and rewarding field of medical physics, a branch of applied physics that utilizes physical concepts and processes in medical applications. In addition to discussing state of the art medical physics research, Dr. Riegel will discuss professional aspects of medical physics, educational pathways, and the potential for a rewarding career using physics to diagnose and cure disease.
