I am originally from New Jersey and attended The College of New Jersey from 1996-2000 as a chemistry major. I did undergraduate research in Dr. Arvanitis’ lab for two years. I went on to Boston University to pursue a Ph.D. in organic chemistry. I worked for Prof. John Porco on the synthesis of the natural product zampanolide. After completing my Ph.D. in 2006 I did a post-doc at the University of Utah with Prof. Janis Louie in the area of organometallic chemistry. In April 2008 I began working at Epix Pharmaceuticals, which is a small pharmaceutical company just outside of Boston, MA that works on diseases involving the central nervous system.
